The DINNER AT EIGHT FTD CD (featuring the live performance of WOODEN HEART) is still available from ShopElvis.com, as far as I know.
The CD that contains the HAMPTON ROADS 8/1/76 show (featuring RETURN TO SENDER) is entitled THE BICENTENNIAL ELVIS EXPERIENCE and made the rounds on the import CD circuit several years ago...that one is much tougher to find, I am afraid.
As far as I know, Elvis never performed SAVED again after the '68 Special, but he did perform at least 1 live performance of YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE in Uniondale, NY on 7/19/75. It is an OUTSTANDING performance!!![]()

Only two verses of Merry Christmas Baby was sung. From what I heard that Elvis was fooling around with a song and then sung two lines of Merry Christmas Baby. Then he said never mind. I don't remember the date of that show.
Few that come to mind are...
Way Down
It's Easy For You
I'll Never Fall In Love Again
Loving Arms
Honkey Tonk Angel
Sound Of Your Cry
But these would have made for a killer concert![]()
"How do I get placed in situations like this? Ah hell, I guess it's all part of showbusiness "~ Elvis in his limo on his way to perform in Omaha, NE on June 19th 1977
Hi there,
I'm a newbie, haven't posted here, before.
I would love to have heard:
"Love Letters".........I just love the way Elvis sings that song, the inflection, the feeling, since I discovered LL, I listen to it over and over. I don't think I'll ever get sick of it. I also went to the trouble to find different versions, and love the 1969 version the most, as his singing is shadowed (by Charlie??) just the feel of that version (you can tell I like it, right? lol).
I also love "High Heeled Sneekers"........just discovered that one, boy that has me singing and enjoying it. Think I'm into Blues at the moment.....These songs are my favourites at the moment, (until played to death, whereas I'll give them a rest for a while, and go back to the others, I love). I could imagine the audience enjoying "High Heeled Sneakers" together, dancing, it would be a great feeling to hear it live.
Also, I love Gospel, new discovery for me, I would love to hear Elvis singing Gospel live, it would be very moving.
O.K. I'm a fan of his music, lol, think I'll stop....
Have a great one!

P.S. This is a photo of my foal, he is only one there, he is going to be absolutely HUGE!
WELCOME TO TCB-WORLD JESS!!!![]()
Actually, Elvis sang LOVE LETTERS quite often in concert, mostly during 1976 when he was introducing the band. After the "electric clavinet" (as Elvis called it) solo from David Briggs, Elvis would usually say something like "the first song David and I worked on together was a song called 'Love Letters'" and then he would perform the song...usually giving an outstanding performance I might add!!![]()
As far as I know, Elvis never performed HIGH HEEL SNEAKERS in concert....but as RCA keeps releasing new concert material on their FTD label, you never know what might pop up in the future...![]()
Hope this helps you out Jess, and once again...WELCOME TO TCB-WORLD!! Hope to see you around the board often!!

my favorite song to be sung live would be ...
When I'm over you
... without a song the day would never end, without a song a man ain't got a friend, without a song the road would never bend ... so I keep singing a song ...
Did Elvis ever sing "I Got Stung" in the 70s? What a great tune.
