I think its pretty funny reading some of these. Because for one not all Tribute Artist/ Impersonators suck. Second of all some of use take a lot of pride and time to bring his memory back for the Elvis fans. I know I study Elvis video's at lease 4 hours a day to get moves down and etc.

Second of all, to say Elvis would fire everyone is wrong. Elvis thought it was great honor that someone would pay tribute to him he said it many times and many of his family members have said to to me and other Great ETA's/Impersonators.

Like I've said many times. Your putting cart before the horse and not getting know some of us and why we do this.

    Love to all,

Tim, i think spending four hours each day copying elvis moves is a bit much, no disrespect, but four hours each day is a hell of alot of time and you need to have a life outside of Elvis, Maybe take some karate and some dance lessons? would make it alot easyer.

Although i do a Elvis act, I am only 20 so i fit myself around a 20yearold Elvis, And like i said in the other topic, i am also a singer/song writer trying to get signed so its not like i live from somebody elses music and style,

Many eta's are fat, I have nothing agains fat people, However Elvis was overweight for the last 3-4 years of his life, the man was ill. tribute artists, or impersonators shouldn't exploit that image and think its okay to wear a jumpsuit and have a 45 inch waist.
Tribute artists should use the 50's - 1973 as a marker.

I mean does this guy give elvis a good image?

No, and thats what give tribute artist and impersonators a bad name!,
He probaly likes his food too much, and is to lazy to portray a yound elvis who was not ill.

Well I do take Taekwondo I'm 3rd Degree Black Belt. Then I stop taking Taekwondo because of High School then College. As for being fat I'm only 178 pounds was 200 at one time because I didn't have time to work out between shows.

Like I said before media seem to take the jokes and really bad ones and throw them on TV. Then people or Elvis fans then attack us. I've had many Tribute Artist haters come my shows and after and tell me they where totally wrong about Elvis Tribute Artist. (I not braggin by no means, to me I don't think I'm the best or really that great. But they always say you are always your wrost critic.)

I will put some pictures on here on post under this one.

    Love to all,
    Tim Dudley

I have to agree completely with you. The impersonators make my skin crawl and make "Elvis fans" a point of jest among the media and general public.

The sooner these *****s stop or are stopped the better. They need to get their own lives, if there good singers and god only knows 99% of them are terrible, then they should use their talents to make a name for themselves, instead of piggybacking off of Elvis.

It's too easy to grow sideburns and throw on a jumpsuit while belting out Elvis songs. I respect that you are a singer/songwriter, most Impersonators should be stopped.

I've done shows before Unchannied for EPE and even my own shows where I had wear just Tux or something very nice to wear. Just last year when EPE booked Elvis guys they allowed them to wear Jumpsuits. Chris McDonald was ETA for few years before he went on his own. So was Steve Holy (singer of "Good Morning Beautiful.") I have 1993 contest book with him in it. I about died when I saw that.

I could do country or R & B. Been offered some songs to sing, but I don't choose to, because this is my way saying Thank you to the greatest singer of all time and he was great person, he never forgot where he came from. Like most people do in business now a days. There only few I can count one hand that take time out for the fans from this decade.

Great example my good Friend Irv Cass, Donny Edwards and Shawn Klush put on first ever Elvis Tribute Artist Showcase in Memphis this year. There where a lot of Elvis Impersonator haters there. But, after made them think twice. President of EPE come up to Irv and said when we saw you do "If I Can Dream" brought back a lot of great memories and even made Lisa and few other family members cry.

I'll leave with this. I do this out of the love of Elvis, you can believe me or not I don't really care kinda like Elvis said "Dont judge other man...until you walk in that mans shoes." (I didn't quote it all because to long.)

    Love to all,

IMHO, the person who ever came the closest to looking like the young Elvis was Michael St. Gerard....

IMO, I think Kurt Russell looked quite well playing Elvis, plus he didn't "over act" in the role, at least in my view.

    Impersonators

If someone wants to pay tribute to Elvis, there is no reason whatsoever to get up on stage wearing a bloody jumpsuit.
Each and every one of them looks ridiculous. I don't care how much they care about the man, they are just plain embarrassing.
Sing the songs by all means, but don't look like him or dress like him.
And as for EPE doing this stupid contest at Graceland: DISGUSTING!
Very soon, Graceland will become a Disneyland-esque laughing stock. The sale of most of the estate to Sillerman Enterprises did not bode well, and this - plus having the American Idol "singers" on the premises - is just the beginning.

i also agree bossman , i think he still done the best elvis , in any movie, just thinking of the dross that came after him, like, elvis and the colonel[pure crap], elvis and me[terrible elvis], heartbreak hotel[david keith ! as ELVIS ], AND THE LAST GUY[ELVIS CBS MINISERIES] AGAIN I THINK kurt russell did the best job and the movie still stands out even though there were some inacuracies in it[vegas 1969 wearing the adonis suit], but what count was the potayal/acting. I thought i saw everything and now comes e.p.e with trhis brainstorm idea with imposters[not impersonators] these guys are not needed in the ELVIS world as E.P.'S legacy in recordings and film is more than enough for me to appreciate, afterall i'm a fan of the real thing ELVIS ARON PRESLEY, these guys only mar his memory! just my opinon though.
