All I have to say is that this dvd is nothing but GREAT.
The sound is synched in perfect with the picture....the pic quality is really good...and we get to see some fine performances.
Just received this today.Notes from rear cover . ]In the run up to the january73 "Aloha Live TV Special,Elvis did 3 Honalulu shows in November 72.One show Nov 17th featuring the stunning Thunderbird suit and afternoon and evening show on Nov 18th,featuring the black "waydown"suit in the afternoon the rarely worn,magnifacent Blue Tiffany suit in the evening.All three shows on this DVD are taken directly from the original 8mm film and the quality is comparable to and will likely exceed any you have seen! The audio is from the original shows and in perfect sync. So sit back and enjoy these three wonderfully restored films of THE KING IN ACTION. WHAT YOU GET.All three sections start off with different views of Honalulu International Centre. A few minutes of the tcb band outside smoking enjoying a coke on one section and a snippet of Al Dvorin in another.These are not complete concerts in fact there are not really any complete songs,cc rider is the only one.It seems as if the camera man was worried about running out of film.As far as quality goes its is pretty good - I've seen a lot worse. There isn't much camera shake and someone has spent a lot of time lipsyncing this to almost perfection.The view is not quite good enough to make out Elvis' facial expressions especially when he is wearing the white suit.But you do get the feel of what it was like being in the audience.Is it a gem? - yes, worth the £12 price tag.If you're hoping for the quality of ttwii or on tour this is not for you.If you are a completist get it now!

I believe I read somewhere that these shows in November of '72 were originally slated to be the "Elvis: Aloha From Hawaii" telecast.
In a way glad they didn't because by the end of the year elvis was starting to pack on the pounds, and if you look at photo's from the November tour and Aloha From Hawaii you can see the difference.Originally Posted by Tony Trout
