    Hi Tommy,

I don't have it yet, but I will get it, because like Rick said it's supposed to be very good, in good quality! On the other hand (if I'm correct) it does have the complete shows, so also the other artists on those shows, and some people like that and some don't.

    Thumbs up It's great!

    Hi,

Just got the Ed Sullivan disc set today (for $49.99 Australian, about ten bucks less than the price they said they were going to sell it for), and I think it's FANTASTIC.

I'm a total Elvis '70s fan, and the '50s is my least favourite Elvis era, but this set is wonderful. The quality of the footage is excellent.

It's good to see where Elvis fitted into these amazing telecasts.

And Charles Laughton on Disc 1 is worth the price alone, he's hilarious. For those of you that don't know, he was married for many years to Elsa Lanchester, who later played Madame Neherina in Easy Come, Easy Go.

GET THIS SET: IT IS INVALUABLE!!!

    Scott.

    Thanks Tommy, Here's your reward.

The quality of the 50s TV pictures have been enhanced and are pristine! The whole package is a joy to handle.

It's incredible. To see everything as it was, it makes you feel like you are actually there, in 1956/57. Elvis of course was awesome, especially the second show which would be Oct 28/1956. Of the three shows, he seemed the most comfortable and at his best for this show, especially his performance of Hound Dog, which was awesome. It truly is a must as you see so many talented and different acts on these shows, even the car commercials are fascinating! Most of all, it catches our guy making history and it makes you realize the enormity of his presence on these shows. The pressure that a 21 year old Elvis was under, must have been unbelievable, yet he handled it brilliantly.

Love this DVD set! Great quality! My hat is off to all who were behind the restoration of the footage. Excellent! Now, how about the Stage Show footage, Milton Berle, Steve Allen, etc...
