What some people consider "hard rock" amazes me. Never Been To Spain???? Puppet On A String???? Really?
The 50's rockers stand above all, thats the King of Rock and Roll!
The 60's rock and roll sides were the finest among all.
The 70's Hard Rock song are the ones that really burn the house.
It is not about decades, a good hard rock song rolls no matter what.
My vote goes to the lastHe did great rock songs in every decade...most in '50 and '70

I don't understand about "Puppet on a String". This is really classified as a ballad. I think "Never Been to Spain" really rocks. It may not be classified as a "hard rock" song but i think it is one of Elvis' best of the 70s, and Elvis didn't record a lot of "rock songs" in the 1970s.
