Elvis and The Guitar (after 77)

In 1977, Elvis began to bring out his guitar more in his shows to play a few songs, and I'm wondering if he'd lived past 1977 if he'd went back to playing it more often in the 70's-80's, just like he did in the 50's?

That one is tough to answer. It's impossible to know what direction he would have taken if he'd lived.Wouldnt it had been something if Elvis would have played some smaller venues in an acoustic set.Can you imagine paying to see Elvis perform "unplugged".You could have had Elvis on guitar and just a couple of other guys with him.I think that would have been incredible to witness.

Like we all know, Elvis even did something like an unplugged (plugged) set, right. Back in 1968 he invented the small concert, just playing with his guys.

How cool would that have been, in later years...

I think that if the next tour (after June 1977) would've been, we would have seen more of the same, sorry to say.

Allthough I must say that songs like Moody Blue (very ABBA style i.m.o.) and Way Down, also could've led him a slightly different way.

But the guitar question? Good one... My bet is he would have kept on playing it in his own style.

I think he would have kept on playing it in his own style, but sometimes i think Elvis would bring out his guitar more in his shows to play a few songs.
Some of you all never been down South too much...
I'm gonna tell you a little story, so you'll understand where I'm talking about
