    Exclamation if only they would!!!!!!

i have been thinking about rca, which usually gets us elvis fans mad ,any hows i came up with a suggestion and want to know what you guys thought, how about a if i can dream single?

ok so your all probably looking at your screen thinking shut it ,but hear me out,if i can dream is just one of the best elvis songs, they could use the video from 68 new dvd which also shows elvis in the black leather signing if i can dream which would be something new for us fans, plus isnt the timing just perfect? i mean with the war and everything? i can bet my boots that it would hit #1,plus it would also advertise the new dvd plus rca cant use the usual excuse 'oh elvis looks fat, ' so whats stopping them? are they just blind? or am i talking nosense again ,let me know what you guys think, aron.

No, I don't think releasing a single would be a good thing. The DVD need to be promoted instore, not by a videoclip (big chance it won't be played on MTV). You don't want to overstock the musicshops even more.

I think the big hit would be when BMG started to realise that 'the new audience' (youngsters who haven't heard of Elvis) aren't as crazy about the 50s Teddy Bear/Don't Be Cruel Elvis as the youngsters in the 50s. I think BMG could sell the '68-'74 Elvis way better. Not only the music from that period, but also the pictures from that era.

i see your point albert ,ok so give the dvd a while then release the single,i mean i cant believe it wasnt done before the dvd was announced....i can tell you from talking to friends who have know intrest in elvis what so ever say their faviourte elvis song is jailhouse rock so the 50's is well liked by us modern kids, however kids like me who are die hard fans love every era :worthy: ,i do get fed up when rca keep blasting out songs and images only from the 50's but what do we expect, just like the colonel they are in it for the cash not for elvis or his fans.i mean those fat cats at rca are sitting on unrealesed footage from 77 and on tour but do they release for us fans, nope because and i quote 'we are thinking about the image we set for elvis' i mean isnt it about time us fans say no mate we arent taking this crap anymore we fans should say what comes out after all i think elvis would have wanted it that way,i tell you something those idots at rca just focus on none elvis fans when releasing something never think about us die hard fans and what we want ,we should be heard and me crying out for the if i can dream single is just example of what we need to be doing but on big scale otherwise all the modern youth are gonna only hear the basic elvis recordings and are gonna miss out on all the classic tunes such as if i can dream and polk salad annie and god **** i could go on.i know us elvis fans have been moaning about rca for well years now but its time we do something, like them man said himslef a little less conversation a little more action please....otherwise those fat cats at rca are gonna carry on,aron.

got that of my chest ,lol

Well i agree with aron 100% if i can dream is a fantastic song and would make a brilliant single especially when i personally think alot of the words in the song relate to the world today with the war and everything.

Also "thats alright mama" is out as a single today,
I think they should have released the comeback special version of this song as a music video to play on tv station and make it a media video file on the single which you could watch in your computer...... just a thought...it would be good publicity for the dvd.

glad you agree Scottishthistle i mean whats stopping them? did any body from the u.k catch itv news with all the m ''ETA'S'' which they now like to be called the idots were in my local town birmingham on a bus and drove through town, they were there to advertise the new elvisly yours cafe in london, each and every single one of them looked real real stupid i mean they all think if they jump in a jumpsuit put on a pair of glasses and dye their hair black that they are elvis himself i just sat and laughed,is it only me who see's that these impersonators are making elvis a joke,it put a bad mood on my day as apart from those idots elvis has been on all the news channels here in the uk and even interviewed a guy from the rolling stones about elvis, dont worry he only said good things , then these idots came on with there 'huh huh' and their 'thankyouvery much' omfg they looked total states and it just ceases to amaze me that some elvis fans actually like them.....anyhow thanks again Scottishthistle ,now thats two fans who are behind the idea just another 2 billion to go ,aron.

I'm with you E.L.V.I.S. I'm not into most impersonators, It's always struck me that men get to a certain age and seem to think they can slip into a jumpsuit and bob's your uncle this is almost certainly bad for the Elvis Image, they look like bloody bad caricatures of a bygone era, Elvis would almost certainly have reinvented himself had he reached the 80's like he did in the previous decades

oh couldnt agree more, when at the local elvis fan club events they do that sometimes and i think its just all a bit of fun,but when prats like those guys come on in their jumpsuits ,thats when the trouble starts.why dont you come out as a double act ,no im jokin please im jokin ,lol
thank you for being so welcomeing u rock
no worries you sound (h) cool, its good to talk with fellow fans around my age bracket ,not that everyones old or anything

very true matt, i mean its so sad these guys dont realise that they look like this----->:clown: , ... i mean even elvis turned around and said that he hated impersonators to charlie hodge so im with elvis, impersonators suck big time for me and they usually say 'oh my how dare you im a fan, been once since i was a little lad' nope,no fans takes the piss outta elvis they just looking for something cant think what.... ...... ...... ,aron.
