    Marlon Brando RIP

Marlon Brando has died today in LA. While watching the gushing praise from all quarters ( mostly well deserved) I liked his acting especially the Godfather roles but - I just could not help in reflecting how the media have treated Marlon Brando as opposed to Elvis for his physical appearance.

I mean both were lean & mean in the 50's -On the waterfront -King Creole -to compare and then both were overweight, Marlon especially so ....

I know too little of Marlon Brandon to say something about his acting, but still rest in peace. Thanks for the influence on Elvis.

    Rest in peace, Mr. Brando.

The movie I know him best from, besides the Godfather, is Apocolypse Now. I probably haven't seen it in ten years, but I used to love that movie.

And I just saw Last Tango In Paris for the first time about six months ago.

    He was an amazing actor.

He was a fine actor. His performance in 'The Godfather' was outstanding.

My favourite Brando film, along with 'Godfather', is 'Mutiny on the Bounty' where he played 'Mister Christian'. I love that story and all versions of that film.

Elvis admired Marlon Brando after he had seen his performance in the movie "The Wild One". Elvis also adored Tony Curtis and James Dean.
