I did this design with new software. I still have to get used to the software and I still have got lots to learn, but I like the outcome.

This cover looks very nice, Ferry! i took the psd file and saved it as a jpeg..and i don't know what happend with your file..but when i saved it as a jpeg..the file looks just fine..
I think the way you saved it has something to do with the settings...when you save a file with photoshop...you hit the button: save for web...than you see on the right: quality (kwaliteit), you can set that from 0-100%, i always set that on 100% or no less than 90%, and i think the default setting is on 0%, you have to adjust that, like i did with your uploaded psd file, and as you can see the file came out perfectly.
