did you take photos at a concery you attende, i sure did in april 5 72 was the first performance i saw and i had a minolta instamatic[not great for taking photos] i swore toyself after seing E.P. in buffalo, that i would save up and buy a 35mm camera and take alot of photos, at the buffalo show i took all twelve photos as soom as elvis came on stage, and i watched the rest of the show, april of 73 news about elvis spring tour declared that he was putting out some great shows [especially in vegas, even though he had a bout with tonsilitis] by the next 2 weeks i bought a canon arc 35mm camera with full 8 lens and after seeing e.p. in hawaii[the aloha show, tickets provided by the colonels staff] i knew i wanted to invest in a new camera, even though you could not bring cameras at the aloha show due to flash photography interfeering with tv camera filming, i saw elvis again in anaheim california on april 4th, this remains the best show of all 18 shows and two tours, 36 shows all together, it was a tight show]mo banter with audience], i stared firing with my camera right after the intro[although it was taking a couple minutes for e.p. to come on stage] i fired right away as soon as elvis came from stage left, the suit i thought was the american eagle, frm afar 8th row, right. isaw a little guy rushing to the front he had all this camera equipment arounf his neck, ithought he was the local press, so i went forward along with so many others, the thing is, they all had instamatics and the flashes were making elvis squint, so he pulled back and was singing with his eyes closed, until he turned his head to the right, well the little guy with all the camera stuff kept going in closer to stage.[security was lax] i starded moving in behinf him i noticed he was taking photos from the right angle while i and many others were taking photos front /centre of elvis, when i develloped all46 photos i could see why he did that the microphone was in the way a bit of elvis face, and the suit[which was the thunderbird], but they came out ok, i would love to post my photos on here but i'm afraid that they will be used all over the net and i will never get the credit, i haVE SEEN THIS HAPPEN OVER AND OVER, the guy taking photos i later found out was len leech[a gentlemen, he gave me pointers later idurring the years we even shared photos, but his were always better than mine.

My wife photographed Elvis in Ft Wayne 1972,So Bend 1974,So Bend 1976 and Ft Wayne 1976.Back in 76 Uncle Vester drove her around the property of Graceland while Elvis was upstairs sleeping.The next day she met Linda Thompson,Lisa Marie and Elvis at Graceland in 1976.All three autographed for her.Elvis gave her 5 autographs in all over a 5 year period.

Thank you memphis 77 for the great stories of your times at Elvis' concerts. Elvis was such a giver of his self. He was wonderful to his fans! I'm happy you had the opportunity to see him live!

to see him live was an amazing expierience, e.p. kinda knew some of the fans who followed him , he would recognize them and sometimes give them the guitar pick, and the ladies always got the scarf he truly did appreciate his fans, no b.s. elvis would even pose for you if you were up close so that you could take a good photo, even though you were asked not to leave your seat, or take still photography, you really didn't encounter any resistence, thanks to all the fans who share their memories, photos,etc, it's very sad when i think E.P. will never perform again, but thanks to forums like TCB you can still relive those moments from long ago.THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF AT TCB, MUCH CONTINUED SUCESS.

Back in 1976 my wife went behind the church that use to be next to graceland.She and a friend went over the wall and walked up behind Graceland where the trailers use to be.She wasnt there very long before Linda Thompson and Lis Marie came walking up and caught her.Rather than get upset with her Linda was extremely polite and courteous and her and Lisa even signed autographs for her.After a few minutes Elvis came driving up as he was leaving Graceland through the rear driveway to leave.Linda waved at him and he drove up.He wasnt upset either and he gave an autograph also.A security guard then walked my wife back out the rear driveway.That shows you the consideration he gave the fans and what a different time it was back then.If you did that know with a major star you would probably get slammed to the ground and then carted off to jail.

Why do you need credit for pictures? Unless you plan on making money from them. Share em. They are no good sitting in your drawer at home

i believe all original photographers deserve credit for their work, back then the price of film was quite expensive[$7.00] plus the price of admission to elvis performances 72-74[11.00] not including gas to get to one venue to another, and have your film developed, i'm no differn't than joe tunzi, or sean shaver, bob heiss, george hill etc... except, i prefer to trade my photos for originals, i sure don't want them to be posted all over the net, and not get a credit for it and have people claim it as there own and selling it, i do hope you will understand, this is just my opinion though.

Yes. Don't start posting your photos unless you want them spreading. Because they certainly will. One idea might be to scan them in, save them as good and proper images.... THEN..... take those same files and make a fresh set, turning each image into black and white, then shrinking each down so that they're quite small, and heavily compressing each as JPEGS. Everyone here could then appreciate the angles and poses, while not necessarily seeing much detail, making it less desirable for people to copy them (and, even if they were to, they wouldn't have much to spread around). Just a thought.

thank you cyrano, for the advice, but i'm pretty computer illiterate, i don't own a scanner etc.. believe me when your as old as i am, you just find some things daunting. I would sincerly love to share photos with all fans, but i just as staed before don't want them doing the rounds and have other claiming they are the owners and selling them for profit{i don't sell E.P. ] I only trade., and buy, i just don't know what 'll happen to all this when i'm gone i would like to leave it to fans who will add to it and find joy in it, I'M currently having 2 of the personal items i had bought of E.P.'s sent to auction house, because it just makes me sad, ever since i bought them [9 years ago] i thought it would be great joy, but no it only brang sadness to me every time i look at them. AHH to go back 40 years and hangout at the hotels, stadiums, graceland, it's sad and i'm a sentimental guy when it comes to E.P.
