which concerts did you attend and how was the performance

i attended 18 shows and followed 2 tours in all i saw E.P. perform 38 times, i will explain my view of the performances etc.... The first show i attended ws buffalo, 72, i was 17 at the time , i went to this show with a canadian fan club, there were only 8 of us , but we went by car[2 cars of course], as we got into buffalo the weather as i remembered was better than we left in toronto, as we got there we registered in to the hillmont motel we all had seperate rooms, we had made it so that we were there the night before, i really couldn't sleep wondering what it was going to be like , how good our seats were etc.. that night the president of the fan club had said thst the musicians were at the drake hotel , it was around 10;pm so i wanted to go, only 3 of us went, when we got their at least 40 fans were there with sighns etc, the rumour was that E.P. was there also, but we soon foundout he wasn't from ronnie tutt, he came from across the street litteraly unnoticed , until one woman began to scream ronnie, ronnie, i sure he will remember this as all the fans litterally rushed to him and began asking questions lefty and right[hwheres elvis, whats it like playing with him will you sighn my t shirt hand etc..] ronny was nice enough to sighn autographs, i still remember the lady who asked him to sighn her face[yep thats right] and ronnie obliged everyone laughed but i tell ya she attended the show with that signature in blue ink, Ronnie evcen took photos with some of us, he was a real gentle man, he did tell us that elvis wasn't to far away[maybe the hilton] no , but he did tell us that e.p. would be using the same road we were on to get to the venue, and that they were making a movie, the next morning as we all had hot chocalate, out side, and waited all night at least 10 -12c fans me included there aws no sighn of the limo and it was already 7:38[ iremember the time like it had stood still] i wanted to see the show from begining to end, i was assured my monique [the fan club president] that we would make it in time for elvis intro, luckily we arrived minutes before gate 6h was closed we were escortedv by staff to our row of seats we were 9 rows from rght angle , i had my camers [instamatic ] with me i kept checking battery, to see that it aws ok, 2 minutes later the lights went down, most of the group came hurried on stage , i remember the camera at stage leftwas pointed at the crowd , but no camera man , the noise of whistling people sreaming oh my god, ELVIIIIIS, SUDDENLY THE 2001 theme, i felt it was taking so long[ my stomach was actually turning, my legs became like rubber] i could see dr nick and some woman ,at the rear, then the finally and drum intro , and then ELVIS came out stage left [he looked tiny] everyone started going to the front, i was in awe for a few minutes[speechless] , elvis looked so short, but as we were pushed, monique told us to go with the flow[they called it] the flow of the crowd the guards were pushed up against the stage which was a bit low, but i got down to third row right and i just put my camera to work, i took snapshot one after the other, i could see ELVIS pretty good and the jumsuit looked surreal , i remember a red light beaming on his face, by the time i got a woman was over so was my the film in my camera , i was really worried wondering if they were gonna come out good, i kept my ticket stub in my front pocket and during the show kept reaching into my pocket to make sure it was there, i remember elvis saying to the crowd , it's a pleasure being in chicago, oh yeah new york, new york , buffalo i know... and then he went into lawdy miss.... and man i can still see him comming stage right , this was fascinating to me , and when he sang for the good times he was standing right by j.d, GOD its hard to describe in typing what it was like, 4 of the 8 are still alive, but i never did see monique ever again, but i do thank her where ever she is , for getting me hooked on to a wonderful thing.

I got to see him in Memphis in 1976 and it was great. I was 10 years old and dancing and singing the whole time. I wanted to go down to the stage but I was too nervous too and all the screaming women scared me a bit. I remember it all and mostly how poweful he was when he sang "America" and how everone was on their feet with hands over their hearts. My mother saw him in 1975 in Memphis and she is on the recording . She screams and Elvis responds to her. Kind of cool. I was also able to find a recording of the one I went to too, as well as a book of professional photos, some copies of some good ones someone took up close and then I have mine I took from a cheap 110 camera. I bought a poster but it crumbled years ago. I still have my ticket stub and articles from the paper.
Got my family, my kids, my books and my music, I'm good, yeah, I'm good.....

I never got to see Elvis. But my girlfriends mother got to see Elvis last performence in South Bend in 1976. (I got to see the scarf and you can still smell the after shave on it...little musty but still.lol) She said it was during "Love Me" and he had baby blue scarf and she remembers seeing one of his guards point to her and told her it was ok to come get a scarf and he got on one knee and putting it around her neck then they. I believe there is a picture that BOB HEIS has in his South Bend set where Elvis is giving a lady a scarf and its baby blue color. Its to small to tell on his webpage but I think that might be her. If anyone has that picture I would love copy of it.

    Love to all,
