    Elvis Fanbase Growing........young

    http://www.commercialappeal.com/mca/...040246,00.html

See the article on the link.

Our grandchildren ask for Elvis DVDs and CDs.
We have six ranging from 26 to 8 year old twins. We also have a great grandson. Looks like they will have no shortage of Elvis news in the coming years:-)

They also play and listen to classical music, so Ludwig Van Beethoven's beautiful music is safe too!

(Elvis impersonators do not trouble them in the least, they are intelligent little angels/demons, and they know the real Elvis is everywhere.............and he totally eclipses them all

Yes a few kind and thoughtful words can be helpful.

Nice to see very young Elvis fans on the Elvis message boards. Researchers are in for a surprise:-) Many think we are headed for the rest homes. Do they not realise people are living a lot longer these days?

14 year olds in 1956 are only 64 now. Millions of the early Elvis fans will live to 80 and beyond.

After a by-pass op I am living on borrowed time:-( Enjoy me while you can:-)

Good things remains forever... Elvis is amazing (All about him!), so is not surprising the fact that young people get into the king's world. People recognizes the marvelousness on Elvis. (And I still consider myself young... 21 years old A very proud fan!)
Let the stars fade and fall, and I won't care at all, as long as I have you.

I've already started my 18-month-old neice on Elvis. She could say his name almost before she could say mine! I started her on pictures (hey, she wanted to know who was on my desktop!).

So, I tried an experiment and put TTWII on tv and she knew him right away - "Elvish!" - and started dancing. She'll sit still for quite awhile and watch him, pointing and saying his name the whole time. It's the cutest thing ever!

It is SO wonderful to hear stories about all of the younger Elvis fans that are out there today!!!

My son, who just turned 4 in October, is a HUGE Elvis fan (of course the fact that his Dad is a HUGE Elvis fan probably has nothing to do with it!! ) and he knows all of the words to SEE SEE RIDER!!!

    TCB!

Sorry to hear that, Maurice. I hope your borrowed time turns into a long time. Where would we be without your presence?

I am 23 and the only Elvis fan I know. Apart from all you guys, o' course! I hope to meet some local fans eventually. Who knows? They're definitely out there.

It's encouraging that new fans are being born every day. Elvis will inevitably recede in history as more time passes. But will his popularity diminish? That is hard to say. I hope not!

Thanks Cryogenic, I'm taking my medication. Prescribed medication Three little pills a day. At almost 65 I am still quite physically strong, and Maureen and I are still active. We raise funds for the Rehab Foundation charity...because of Elvis! About 80.000 Euros since 1999.

Other message boards are surviving without me...........just about.LOL

Many original Elvis fans did not join fan clubs or go to Elvis conventions we lived quite private Elvis lives. I have met more Elvis fans in the last ten years than I ever met in the previous decades. (50s/60s Cinema audiences the exception)

You are lucky. There are many youngsters here on this Forum.
