I'd like to introduce myself. I was born Jan 10, 1979 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan Canada .. I wasn't lucky enough to experience Elvis when he was alive. I have many DVD's Music. Dolls... I'm 28. I started getting into Elvis in College. I played in a punk rock band called the Man-Goats. We played lots of Misfit like Music. I listened to alot of Danzig. "Evil Elvis" they called him. Danzig did a live cover of "Trouble" from the Demonsweatlive CD. At the time I had no idea that was an Elvis cover, but once I did Presley started to poor into my life. I bought the greatest hits after that I started listening to the gospel stuff. What a transition Danzig to Elvis Gospel. Nonetheless Elvis changed my life. I now have a family & I'm expecting a baby in April. I now go to church every Sunday & I quit drinking. Elvis has truly changed my life. I enjoy the 70's Elvis the best. His voice is so powerful. Here is some of my favorite Elvis moments.

Performances- Unchained Melody 77, You've Lost that Love & Feeling (Vegas Show)

Fav. DVD.- He touched Me-The Gospel Music Of Elvis Presley

Fav. CD's The Elvis Remixes 3 CDs.

Fav. Sports Team: Edmonton Oilers NHL team

Best Elvis Movie: CBS movie staring Jonathon Rhys Myers.
Worst: The Kurt Russell one sucked.

Best Show I've seen.- When me & my wife went to Hawaii we saw a tribute to Elvis the impersonator was frickin awesome!

Well, you have your tastes but I destory my copy of the CBS movie that I recorded onto DVD that starred Jonathon Rhys Myers. That movie first off was fair in my opinion. Not the best. Well, neither is the Kurt Russell film but it was better than the CBS movie. That piece of trash of Jonathon Rhys Myers, I didn't like his comment saying "that anyone who stays with their mother has to be gay". That didn't set well with me so I destroy my copy of the movie.
But I agree with the other stuff. It was good that they used the Elvis recording for the CBS movie but on If I Can Dream, I felt sad. He made that song stupid. He over dramatize the song. Elvis was at ease with the song. Elvis lips wasn't poking out like Jonathon Rhys Myers was. But as I have said that is my opinion. Their was only one good thing about the movie - Rose McGowan as Ann-Margret. Now that was one good looking chick.

Good to meet you! I didn't see the Jon-Rhys Myers movie. I did see the Kurt Russell, but don't remember it. My favorite has got to be the Elvis 'That's The Way It Was" concert. He was just so energetic & FUNNY! He could have been a stand up comic, if he wanted.
Favorite Songs - They change freguently, But at the moment - I'll Remember You, Singing Tree-the take where he harmonizes with himself, Moody Blue & Paralyzed, & Walls Have Ears - love the line about parting his hair with a chair!
Favorite Cd - Something for Everyone
Favorite Movie - Blue Hawaii, King Creole
Favorite Sports Team - San Antonio Spurs
Favorite Elvis Item - Elvis Wackel Doll

I can't go along with the Jonathon Rhys Myers opinion, I thought it was the single worst portrayal of Elvis ever and thats saying something if you saw Don
Johnson in Elvis and the Beauty Queen. As a Person I also disliked the actor for statements he made about a year after the movie aired on TV.

That said Welcome aboard , its a great place to pass the time.
