It really feels like many years have past since we've had our last soundboard import CD. Sure, we had some great re-releases, some so-so audience recordings and many horrible audience recordings, but I can't remember what really was the last released soundboard import CD.
I've read somewhere on the net that Madison (yup, that label with those stunning covers) will release a new CD with the 2:30PM show from June 8, 1975 (Jackson, MS) and it will go by the title "Fly T-R-O-U-B-L-E". Madison had already released the eveningshow of that same name under the name of 'Capital Performance'
We've already have from that tour:
This should be the tracklisting:
- Sold Out In Dixie (June 2, 8:30PM)
- Deep Down South (June 3)
- The Eagle Has Landed (June 4)
- The Eyes Of Texas Are Upon You (same show, June 4)
- Howdy Houston (June 5)
- Dallas '75 (June 6)
- a Capital Performance (June 8, 8:30PM)
- a Capital Performance (same show, different label)
- Cut 'Em Down To Size (June 9, 8:30PM)
- Let Me Take You Home (June 10, 8:30PM)
01 - I Got A Woman / Amen ( incomplete ) ;
02 - Love Me ;
03 - If You Love Me (Let Me Know) ;
04 - Love Me Tender ;
05 - All Shook Up ;
06 - Teddy Bear / Don't Be Cruel ;
07 - Hound Dog ;
08 - The Wonder Of You ;
09 - Burning Love ;
10 - Introductions by Elvis of vocalists, band ;
11 - Johnny B. Goode (James Burton) ;
12 - Drum solo (Ronnie Tutt) ;
13 - Bass solo (Jerry Scheff) ;
14 - Piano solo (Glen D. Hardin) ;
15 - Introductions by Elvis of vocalists, orchestra ;
16 - School Day (Joe Guercio Orchestra) ;
17 - T-R-O-U-B-L-E ;
18 - Why Me Lord? ;
19 - How Great Thou Art (with two reprises) ;
20 - Let Me Be There ;
21 - Funny How Time Slips Away (with reprise) ;
22 - Little Darlin' ;
23 - Mystery Train / Tiger Man ;
24 - Fever (two false starts only) ;
25 - Can't Help Falling In Love / Closing Vamp.
Sure, this tracklisting is very well-known and it hides no suprices, but still, it's from a fantastic tour. Now let's only hope that the soundquality is realy good. The Madison releases so far had better artwork than soundquality.
Here are some pics from that show:

Thanks for the info and pictures gang! Despite some weight control troubles 1975 was a great year for EP as he put on a lot of tremendous shows.
Imagine how great "Today" could have been when the recordingsessions would have been in May/June/July. The King really was on a roll during that period.

I love the Madison releases!! Glad to see another one is coming out soon!!![]()
The high quality artwork and sound on these Madison releases is reminiscent of the Fort Baxter releases from a few years ago....just excellent stuff!!
Perhaps when I get my copy, if no one else has, I will add a review of this new release!!![]()
