    a personal song for you

    If you had a chance to come face to face with elvis and he asked you what song you would like him to sing for you what would it be. i know there are lots of favorites but just one mine would be (just pretend)

    It's really hard...I would ask him a concert, not just a song!!!

    Anyway...it's true..I can't imagine to choose just one song..I'd probably be so excited that I could ask him to sing me "Old McDonald"... ...but, seriously..in this moment the song I have in mind is "An American Trilogy"...maybe it's just because today it's 11/9...I don't know...or maybe because I've always loved it so much and it would be wonderful to have a private performance of a song that always reminds me Elvis and makes me cry!

    A toughy this question is. Hmmm *Thinks* There would be a lot of songs running through my mind but I would have to say Can't Help Falling In Love. Could you imagine the way he's looking into your eyes as he's singing to you? My heart would drop! Or I would faint lol. Isn't that bad?

    There are so many... Many beautiful songs. But, I guess I would ask Bridge Over Troubled Water, or maybe a gospel song, (could be Lead me, Guide Me). If I can get back in time, my dream would come true: Having a date with the 50s young Elvis and listen to one of my favorite songs... "My wish came true".

    NOTE: What about Kismet too?

    There are hundreds of songs, any at all would do ... but I think I'm going to go for a bit of an obscure choice and say In My Way... when Elvis sings that to Tuesday Weld in "Wild In The Country" it literally just makes me melt... beautiful

    But there are so many others that I would love and would be AMAZING that I could babble on about to great length!

    Young and Beautiful was played for us on http://www.rte.ie/radio1/ronancollins/ yesterday. Just select Tuesday if you want to hear the lovely song by Elvis. 13and half minutes into the radio show.

    Last year it was Love Me Tender and I'm Counting on You. Getting Elvis played on our national Irish radio service has been fun through the years.

    Ronan never lets us down.

    We have nearly run out of radio presenters here:-) Maybe one of Elvis's beautiful Gospel songs next time?
