This was the first of (at least) 2 playback performances for the show.
I'm a big fan of PJ PRoby and have almost all albums that he recorded...
nice clip, but man... what an awfull lipsyncing :p
it could also be that they overdubbed the original music to the old clip (that may not have good sound anymore). That's also done a lot on VH1 classic: they use an old live performance and change the original sound with the single/lp version.
This way it seems like the artist/band lipsync, but in fact were performing live.
