I WAS back in time:-)
I would have loved to have witnessed Elvis's sense of vindication after he heard just how successful "It's Now or Never" had been.
At last the fools who said he could not sing had to shut up!
I remember lining up behind all the "old people" to purchase the landmark single late in 1960 because the release of the record had been delayed in Europe. I was 18.
The song was played almost non stop in the music store the week of it's release. It was number one in the UK charts for 8 or nine weeks. Some say it sold as many as 20 million copies worldwide.
Tricky...... I want to say every single minute of his entire life![]()
Well, I would love to be right at the front watching one, no all, of his concerts... especially 1969 and 1970, and the 50s.. that would be absolutely marvelous.
I would love to have been at the Comeback Special, especially seeing him sing If I Can Dream and being able to feel all his emotion, passion and soul coming right out![]()
Then... being present at the very beginning with That's All Right, seeing him do the Jailhouse Rock dance sequence and the infamous Milton Berle Hound Dog performance would be fantastic... so dynamic and such raw energy.
And being taken over by the power of his voice in any big emotional power ballard in the late 70s, and How Great Thou Art in 1977, would be wonderful.
I would also, as someone else said, want to be there when he got his first pill and tell him to not touch it, and warn him of what would be to come. I would want to be there when he became depressed and tell him how much he was loved
Any time really![]()

More on the, "It's Now or Never", song on the link.
The 26 September 1956 Concert in Tupelo must have been an important date for Elvis. I would have liked to have seen him arrive in the town of his birth as a Movie star!
26 september (1959) I was married to Maureen so we have a reason to remember that date too;-)
