Most importantly if it wasn`t for Elvis you wouldn`t have Graceland to visit.
It was his house and even if someone else had bought it the fans would still visit memphis and stand outside the house.
Priscilla keeps referring to it as her home but at the end of the day she only lived there about nine years.
Linda Thompson lived there also but she doesn`t keep referring to it as her home.

I must have deja vu.Another anti Priscilla thread!!I confess I have not read child brde.I did however just finished reading "Elvis What Happened?" again.In it Red West states Priscilla was the only other woman besides his mother that he loved so much.He says Elvis loved her more than anything right up until the end.Why would he say that?I think I tend to believe him since he knew Elvis since high school and was probably his best friend.Caroyln you make good point but your wasting youre breath here I think.Since we dont slam her i guess we are not true Elvis fans I guess.

When Red left it was the end.Just because you dont like what a book says doesnt mean it's not true.I think its some of you people here who need to give it a rest when it comes to your jealousy of Priscilla.She's the one he picked and had his only child and you people just cant handle it.Like it or not she is part of the Elvis myth you people fantasize about.You guys sit back and look at your photos of Elvis and wonder what he was like where as she was the only woman who captured his true affection and it's hard for you to accept that.If you dont like her why even bring it up on the board anyways?Its nothing to obsess over.Its all ancient history.

People will believe only what they want to believe.....There are so many...too many in fact...books out there regarding Elvis' life...some books are OK, some are horrific......but that is only my OPINION....and I'm entitled to it......I try to take on board as much information as I can before I make a decision on what I think is right or wrong. There is no-one alive who can say what Elvis was thinking at one time or another....not one person, whether it be his ex wife, members of the MM or his ex girlfriends...the only person who I believe Elvis truely confided in was his mother. We can all speculate on what Elvis' life was like behind closed doors.....was it a perfect life....? I certainly don't know....was it a life I would have liked to have lived...I don't know.
The thing I can't understand is, and this is only my thoughts, I don't expect anyone else to agree or disagree....I can't fathom how someone can 'hate' someone they don't know.
I really don't want to get into this subject anymore...but I will say, I respect everyones opinion, as I expect people to respect mine....thankyou.

Do you know why you can believe what's in Red's book?Because Elvis was alive when it was released.If it was lies they knew they would have been sued for slander.They wrote it because it was the truth and Elvis would not have sued them for that reason.Are some of you that ignorant of the facts?Elvis had John Grady offer them cash not to go ahead with it but they turned it down.Elvis didnt want that stuff public.Why dont you think his estate never sued them?You cant sue someone if their statements are accurate.I dont see any reason for Red to lie about what he said concerning Elvis and Priscilla.Im sorry folks but Elvis life was not the fairytale you think it was.Everything in that book has been confirmed time and time again.That stuff wasnt a secret to those around him,just to the fans.Elvis personal life unraveled in the later years.Priscilla did the best thing possible by getting their daughter out of that environment.Elvis would never have harmed Lisa intentionally but he became a danger to himself and others as time went on.
