Well I have my holiday so I can spent my whole day on Elvis, play his music, crash on the couch to watch TCM whole day and night, and of course light a candle. What are your plans?
without a song, a man ain't got a friend,
without a song, the road would never bend,
without a song, so I'll keep singing the song.

i'll be listening to and watching lotsa Elvis
I don't see anything listed on TCM this year. In fact I just did a search on the program guide and all it came up with was a Elvis tribute on QVC on the 16th.
Things aren't what they used to be in that area. Used to be you had 2 channels that had Elvis tributes on in January and August.
I have a lot of them on DVD I"ll probably do an ELvis Marathon of my own making that way for a couple 3 -4 movies.
I went to Bad Nauheim in Germany, where Elvis was during his army time
There I meet Elvisfriends and we make something together

You must get a different version of TCM in the UK probably like we do with your BBC. We get that channel but here in the US they're showing like Citizen Kane and other non Elvis films according to the web site. Disapointing but I can do my own with DVD anyway
I made a video for his anniversary and uploaded at youtube, so i thought to post it here in case any of you want to see it.![]()

I have a black bracelet I wear that day. Listening to music watching some videos.
Got my family, my kids, my books and my music, I'm good, yeah, I'm good.....
It's a shame, but I won't do anything special. I listen to Elvis' music nearly every day- regardless if there is any anniversary or not. I don't light candles or send prayers. It's just a normal day. Sorry, but I'm not too sensible....
Start the day with Elvismusic. Go to work. Get back from work, listen to some more Elvismusic. Put in a nice Elvis movie (I think I'll reconnect my vcr and watch This Is Elvis).
And of course, I'll be listening to the special TCB-Radio broadcast of course (see frontpage).
"A year from now, you'll wish you had started today"
Follow TCB-World on Twitter for website updates and Elvisnews: http://twitter.com/tcbworldcom
Just remembered TBC Radio is on Tomorrow (the 16th) will be listening to that for sure!!!

Great Video! Thank you. It brought tears to my eyes!
On August the 16th I always take the day off from work and play his music, almost the whole day.
