John Wilkinson's new book

Just wonder if anyone has read John Wilkinson's new book "My Life Before and After Elvis Presley" ? I just ordered it from Amazon and will write a review once I read it. Just curious if anyone else has.

Just read this book so I thought I would let you know how I felt about it.
It's actually a good fast read, read it in one day, and keeps a very positive spin on things without too much whitewashing. He readilly admits some of the rough stuff that went on but tends to focus on the more positive aspects of their experiences and relationship. He definately comes across as a fan and lifelong admirer of Elvis and is quick to defend him.

There are a few stories I have heard before but it's interesting to hear from his perspective, as well as some I have never heard before. One, rather shocking one from Vegas about a crazed fan.

He talks alot about how he felt then and now about Elvis, and how Elvis has been a constant thread in his life, even before he met him and long after Elvis passed. He gives lots of examples and experiences relating to this.

He also is not afraid to give his impression of Memphis Mafia members and EPE and his experiences with them. Gotta respect that!

He talks alot about his life before and after (hence the title) that has some interesting moments too.

Overall, i found it a pleasant and relaxing read, and nice to hear someone who is positive about Elvis and not trying to rewrite history. His stories have the ring of truth to them.

I would recommend it!

I was truly wondering if it was worth buying. Some of the books that I buy >>>>> I find hard to stay interested in>>>>> some just do not keep my interest and I lay them down for days before I try to get interested again.... but this one sounds like a good read.. thanks again, Dovey.
