What about the Houston shows?
The stage was set up in the middle of a meadow!
That was kinda special, wasn't it?

On how many concerts Elvis used special made stage?
I know only about two concerts - Aloha (very very nice!) and Pontiac Silverdome. But is it all?
(Blackmore - Gillan - Glover - Lord - Paice)
Sweet child in time
you?ll see the line
line that?s drawn between
good and bad
see the blind man
shooting at the world
bullets flying taking toll
If you?ve been a bad
oh Lord I bet you have
and you?ve not been hit
by flying led
you?d better close your eyes
you?d better bow your head and
wait for the ricochet

I don't know if this one counts: the square stage during the live performance in the '68 Comeback Special.

I have a picture of the Pontiac stage before the show with the lights up. As soon as I find itI'll post for your information
I think houston was special. He came out by jeep. Also Elvis could not bring everyone so he brought Charlie, Jerry, Ronnie, John, James, and back-up singers and that was it. So basically it was just big jam session almost infront of 40,000 people at the time.

Wow, nice photo Howard! As far as the Pontiac concert goes, I can't blame Elvis for being "mad as hell" that his band (who he associated with greatly), were on a different level them him. Were there any reasons why that happened, who's idea was that anyway?
