And what a way to return....fantastic looking cover you made here, i like it very much. Same goes for the content on this cover, it's my fav. session. In my opinion one of the best (elvis) recordings in the 70's, it has it all: rockers, ballads, blues, rhythm, country and gospel,wich artist can do that? only Elvis.

Happy you like the tracklist. Most of the people prefer a more countrified song selection. I prefer a much more soulful approach with more upbeat songs. Matter of taste, i guess.

Seriously, nice work once again my friend. Cool design, great liner notes, and I am pleased to find that 'Stax Newspaper' you created (which I liked so much) make a re-appearance.
As I may have told you before, I enjoy the projects you come up with almost as much as your designs themselves - great package.

Well, the idea was to make a Soul/Blues/Rock album and "Raised On Rock" is not that bad, as a rock song. Also, the alternate "Are you sincere?" (from PLATINUM) has a great late-night-blues feel. I think the whole tracklist is coherent with a true Stax sound. But it?s just my opinion/taste.

TRUE-TRUE-TRUE : some of his best music. Imagine this album with 3 singles that would have gather an A-Side from the disc and an unreleased B-Side, for example:

and best of all
single #3 PROMISED LAND / MY BOY (truely a double A-Side)
