    Elvis' last single...

Here's a clip of Elvis' last single called Way Down...Released as a single (with Pledging my Love on the B-side) on June 6, 1977, it was his current single when he died. It was racing up the top 40 when news of his death broke. Shortly after his death, it became the 33rd Number 1 of his career...Sorry, I saw another site mention it was released on July 6, 1977, so I'm not sure which one is correct...Does anyone know?

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Way_Down it had been released on June 6, 1977.

I've read that the final note of JD Sumner is the same low note that brought him a spot in the Guiness Book Of Records some 10 years earlier.

    Patrick,

I have heard that the 1st 2nd & 4ever DVD is really a great DVD. There is a guy selling that DVD and it is a DVD-R... it is cheaper, of course,
but I was thinking about taking a chance and buying it... Really not sure what to do... hate to bet ripped off... What do you think? Dovey

I would say it was released in July of 1977 Franny. Elvis was probably to busy touring in June with the CBS Special and everything to record it, so I would say July. I've always heard it was released about two weeks before his death, so thats about all I know .
