I think it's very hard to choose just one best vocal performance...there are too many...some of the best to me are "An American Trilogy" (Aloha), "How Great Thou Art" (every live performance), "My Way" (live 77), "If I Can Dream", "Hurt"...![]()
Thanks alot, I'm glad you like themOriginally Posted by Wendy56

I saw Elvis do a show in '76. I probably watched the audience as much as I did him. I couldn't believe one person could awe so many people at once.
During the show he sang "America". That's always stood out in my mind because I think that's the one song when I watched him only. He put so much into it. It was one of the times that I thought of him not as Elvis but, as a human being with his own feelings.

Thanks for sharing those beautiful memories with us! You've actually seen him live and that makes it kind of special. Watching footage or listening to recorded material is wonderful, but this is fascinating indeed.Originally Posted by songs4u

My father reminded me before the first time I saw Elvis that he was a man and he put his pants on one leg at a time. I always remembered that. I guess because of that I thought of him as a human being.
I do have to say the first time I saw him, he was like no other man I'd ever seen.
