I guess Elvis couldn't have handled his 1970's songs in the 1950's. His voice was too shaky in my opinion. But I would have loved to hear songs like "Peace In The Valley" or "Young And Beautiful" in the 1970's.
I was wondering about this......
Imagine that his career changed this way...
The seventies songs with his voice in 1960-61 (how it would have been this way).....And the fifties and sixties songs with his seventies voice..........
Just a stupid question, but like to know what you think about this....![]()
Old Times they are not forgotten

I agree with Orwell. I can't imagine Elvis having sung Bridge Over Troubled Water in say...1956. He just didn't have the vocal range or power.
"The way you looked, the sound of your laughing..."
I agree, Elvis voice sounded much different in the 1970's than in the 1950's. I don't think it would have been good.
"How do I get placed in situations like this? Ah hell, I guess it's all part of showbusiness "~ Elvis in his limo on his way to perform in Omaha, NE on June 19th 1977
I agree, those two would have been great to hear in the 70's. Look how much better " Love Letters " was when recorded in the 70's, same with " How Great Thou Art".Originally Posted by orwell1976
