A very hard decision...I prefer long sideburns too but especially those he had in the late '60 and first '70....

the long ones! like he had in the 70's

I agree with Forever The King...

The short sideburns are nice- I think I may prefer or at least equate them to the really late seventies long ones- but I'm really a 68-71 girl!

His sideburns in the 68 Comeback Special were great... but best of all were those in TTWII and the fabulous year of 1970- they are just TOO perfect.

I prefer them in 68 (see The Trouble with Girls movie) ...not too long or short.....
The ones he had in TTWII are not bad if a tad too long and bushy.....
I don't think they looked good after that especially Elvis on Tour 72 - they
actually looked part of his hair and put years on him.

I like the sideburns he had during the 1968 Comeback Special, during TTWII, EOT sideburns, the Aloha sideburns, 1974,1975, late 1976 during October, through Feb. of '77, and I like them on Elvis In Concert to.

    Sideburns

Have you ever noticed the big difference there were in the size of his sideburns
in the On Tour movie from april 72? On the left side of his face it was much bigger than on his right side.
The sideburns looked great on Elvis I think, but I must go for the 1969/70 ones.
In mid 75 they got trimmed down again, and I think that it looks a little cooler on him

To me they were all awesome but I'm inclined to go with 1970, though in 75 they looked great again. There is an awesome picture of EP from either Feb 20th or 21st of 77, from Charlotte, most likely singing his opening number, sporting some unbelievably long but wicked sideburns. If somebody could post this picture, ( sorry I don't know how), I'd appreciate it.

Yes, in the first tour from 1977 he had his side-burns long and pointed toward his chin. They were probably the biggest then not including the summer of '76 they were huge then.

I think the ones in the fifties. I don't like the ones that grow all the way on the cheeks, as part of a beard. I think the ones he had in the 68 special, was already pushing it!

I like the sideburns from late 60's and 70's, assaid before, what was between them was more awsome.

The longer hair carries them somewhat. But that pristine face carries them even more. I honestly think he'd have looked even better with shorter sideburns there. But hey: it was his face.
