What is your opinion of Lisa Marie? I feel that if Elvis were still alive she might of turned out a little different. Possibly starting her music career earlier. Elvis might of been able to help her find her direction easier. I know Lisa Marie would probably never do this, but I wouldn't mind it at all if she recorded a country album. I bet it would shoot up the charts and stay up there like an apple getting ripe on an old apple tree. Not falling off until it was time for it to fall. Well i can at least envision Lisa & Elvis doing a duet together; possibly on a grammy awards or billboards would of been real cool. They probably could of done a talk show together by now too on someones show like maybe dateline or 20/20 ?

She's a great artist, but she is very underated. I guess her music just doesn't fit into a catagory or the musical cliches of today. This is probably why her cd fell off the charts so quickly. I think the cd rocks!!!
Well, I still havent heard either of her albums but I hear good things! As an artist I think she is doing very good. Her music doesnt fit what is on the radio right now because its good and what is on the radio right now is all crap! LOL!!Back to Lisa, I think she is great and I love her no BS attitude. I think Elvis would be proud of his daughter.
I agree. And I think she realizes her music won't get much air play, but doesn't compromise her ideals! Yet another quality I admire in her.
She is also a phenomenal song writer, very talented.
I admire her a person, as well as a songwriter/musician.
BTW, I just got an autographed copy of TWIMC! I don't usually get too excited abouyt celebrity, it's very overrated, but Irespect and admire Lisa a great deal!

She needs to do exactly what her father did....record the kind of music that moves her....that she feels passionately about! That is what made Elvis so unique and so great....he FELT the music that he was recording in his soul, whether it be country, R & B, gospel, pop, or good ol' rock n roll!
If Lisa Marie sticks to this philosophy (and doesn't let other people try to mold or change her), I have no doubt that she will be just as successful as her father was in time!!

Yes, and - like in another recent thread - one has to wonder how much of her is there because of "natural growth" (both spiritual as emotional) and how much was planted there (the whole "other people's memories/opinions" discussion) which can also influence the development of one's personality.

I like Lisa a lot as well. She seems to be much more honest than her mother, definetely a better mother and no pretenses. I do like her voice although I feel it hasn't "ripened" yet. I also agree that she would do well with country and western music but she should do what she feels is right for her.
