Great shots! Thanks.![]()
Roy Turner of Tupelo kindly sent me these photos of Elvis taken 26th September 1956.
Anyone here likely to make the Elvis Festival? Jim Palmer and Roy Turner's Documentary about Elvis's 1956 "Homecoming" should be quite an attraction at the Lyric Theatre.

Let the stars fade and fall, and I won't care at all, as long as I have you.

will scorn. Where LOVE will bless the earth
and peace its paths adorn...
Thanks Tommy and Elvisgirl, glad you liked them.
Nice to see colour photos of Elvis surfacing in Tupelo. It will be great if more have been discovered for the Documentary...............especially cine film. Fingers crossed![]()
Lovely to see Gladys in the background.
Yes joanne, she appears to be happy.............and probably very very proud of her famous son's "Homecoming".
I really never noticed it before, but in that second picture I noticed that, in later years, Elvis had some features alot like Gladys.
Got my family, my kids, my books and my music, I'm good, yeah, I'm good.....
YUM YUM..![]()
Thanks for sharing!!!

Menwithbrokenhearts, yes there is a close resemblance, Gladys actually looks like her son on that photo. Good Observation. We really should look closer at photos.

without a song, the road would never bend,
