Roy Turner of Tupelo kindly sent me these photos of Elvis taken 26th September 1956.
Anyone here likely to make the Elvis Festival? Jim Palmer and Roy Turner's Documentary about Elvis's 1956 "Homecoming" should be quite an attraction at the Lyric Theatre.

"King Creole" was a great Elvis movie.
Dolores Hart appeared in a TV Documentary a number of years ago, and spoke of Elvis's innocence.

Nice to see colour photos of Elvis surfacing in Tupelo. It will be great if more have been discovered for the Documentary...............especially cine film. Fingers crossed

Yes joanne, she appears to be happy.............and probably very very proud of her famous son's "Homecoming".
I really never noticed it before, but in that second picture I noticed that, in later years, Elvis had some features alot like Gladys.

Menwithbrokenhearts, yes there is a close resemblance, Gladys actually looks like her son on that photo. Good Observation. We really should look closer at photos.
