During Elvis' lifetime there where many fans around the gates. It caused several car accidents.
Does anyone know if fans hung out at the gates of Graceland 24/7 while Elvis was alive?
It seems in every photo I see of him driving in or out of the gate there was always several people outside the gates.
Did they just hang out there all day and night hoping Elvis would come out?
Even the last photo of Elvis alive was taken by a fan outside the gate at midnight!!
Did fans literally "camp out" at the gates?
Anyone here ever lucky enough to be outside the gates when Elvis came in or out?

Elvis came down to the gates and signed autographs and talked with his fans on many occasions. Shows how much he appreciated his fans, how many celebrities do you know that do that these days? My point exactly.
