Ive been one time and that was in 2004. I didnt really take the time to see all the sights and sounds, but hopefully the next time I go I can stay longer.

I visited Graceland in 1996. I was twenty years old and it was my first trip to the USA. It was really cool and I liked Memphis a lot. Especially the older houses (colonial style) and there was surprisingly much nature around. I am from Germany and nearly everybody there seems to have german ancestors or at least knows somebody who has. I got the impression that everybody had been to the Oktoberfest, but me! It was really an interesting city. I visited Graceland Mansion three times and I thought it wasn't that crazy as it has been described in the media. Although Plastic Prizzy did a lot of remodeling, the house just looks like the place of a guy, who lives his dreams. I want a jungle room - I build one. I want want some latest-1970's-style TV room, I build one. If you don't like it, you know where the door is. And that's the only way to live. Everybody furnishes the house, like he thinks that other people might think he should live. But Elvis did it the way he wanted it to be. More people should do it that way. But anyway, I enjoyed my trip to Graceland very much. I saw crying people at the grave and asked myself how many decades some people need to get over Elvis death. I even heard someone say something like "...his hands have touched that guitar". I may be a cynic, but I thought that was very funny.

I've been to Graceland ones in 1999. However, I'm planning on going back even it's the last thing I'd do, because it was just a great expirence. Just don't know when.
Be safe and take care,

I was there for the first time last november, will be going back either this year or next.![]()
After 20+ years of wishing and hoping I was able to go to Graceland in Nov of 2005...It was awesome to know that I was walking in the footsteps of greatness, but sad by then fact that I wouldn't be able to meet Elvis in person....I was able to take my 3 year old son along for the trip....I hope to go back real soon....My mother also accompanied us, she had been to Graceland once before on August 17, 1977 a very sad and tragic day in history...

I've been twice. Once in the 1982 , and once in 1990, haven't been back since. My brother and I almost got to go the year Elvis died. My aunt knows Elvis' nurse and had talked to her about us getting to go and she said that probably wouldn't be a problem but she would have to set it up. Well, time went by and, because of that year's sad events, it never transpired. I was heartbroken.
Got my family, my kids, my books and my music, I'm good, yeah, I'm good.....
I haven't been there yet, but one day...![]()
Let the stars fade and fall, and I won't care at all, as long as I have you.

Never been.
Can't conceive of visiting in next 12/24 months, either.
But I shall treasure the time I do - tourist trap or no tourist trap. It's one of those things that HAS to be done. One day, one day...![]()
I have been to Graceland once back in 2003. We visited the Sun Studio and took the tour there also and it was very neat alot of history there in Memphis. I plan to go back there this April I hope.
