How many live versions did Elvis do of the song Memphis Tennessee.

There are quite a few versions of that song. Elvis sung a few lines of it during his "Elvis Summer Festival 1970" (and ended it with the remark, that he didn't know the song, but just lived there) and he sang a nearly complete version a year later. He performed it sometimes during the 1973 "Elvis Summer Festival" and during his july tour in 1975. But I guess he sang it at other occations, too.
I always thought this song would be awesome to use as an opener to his shows.

Across the plains of Tennessee

I think taking care of business would have been an great opening song for Elvis!!!
"Taking Care Of Business In A Flash!"
when Elvis was going to start his 1969 Vegas engagement, Memphis was first choice for opener, but you know what replaced it......
i would've loved it to have been an opener, and loved to have a soundboard recording of the best live version![]()
