Ello,
Dont mean this to be morbid or owt, but does anyone know what the text says on Vernon and Gladys graves? Weve all seen Elvis and know what it says on his but Im just curious as to what is on his parents. Ive searched the net and looked in all my books but cant find a photo where you can read it.
This has been bugging me for years.
Thanks,
Dave TCB
Doesn't it say on Gladys' grave "She was the sunshine of our home" ?
"They poisoned you with compromise; At what point did you realize; Everyone loved your life but you...
...No one learned from your mistakes; We let our profits go to waste. All that's left, in any case, is Advertising Space"
I can't see what it says on Vernon's grave because it is to small but here is what it says on Gladys'

I think the "Sunshine" comment was on the original gravestone.

Our beloved Vernon was always a man to look up to.
He touched each of our lives with love, protected his own, and truly was the keeper of the flame.
Quietly and reverently he carried his responsibility.
In gentle ways he shared his wisdom and strength.
Endurance and understanding allowed him to be above all a fair man to everyone.
Love us patient and endureth all things
God's finger touched him and he slept.

who was responsible for the words on vernon s grave ?
I was just wondering...in Elvis' last concert tour, Elvis introduces Vernon to the audience and says his father has not been on the road with him for 2 years because of illness, but mentions that he was feeling much better....
Does anyone know what illness Vernon had?
franny
Mr. Prseley had respiratory problems and suffered several heart attacks.
If your an Elvis fan, no explanation is necessary....
If your not, no explanation is possible!
Thanks, RS277 for answering my question...I wasn't aware that he had several heart attacks...That explains why Vernon aged so fast...
