This solid gold "Lucein Piccard Seashark" wristwatch was a gift to J.D. Sumner from his longtime friend Elvis Presley. Elvis even had J.D.'s name engraved into the solid gold back of this watch. As a young man Elvis loved to hear J.D. perform and used to go to J.D.'s concerts and try to sneak in. When Elvis first meet J.D. he told him how much he admired his voice. J.D. invited Elvis to his concert and Elvis confessed that he couldn't afford the price of a ticket. J.D. escorted Elvis in and took him backstage and introduced him to many greats such as Jimmy Jones. J.D Sumner had no idea that Elvis would repay him so many times over during his lifetime. When Vernon needed help in planing Elvis' funeral he called J.D. to help him in his time of need. This item has a copy of J.D. Sumners' original letter with the serial number of the watch listed in the letter.
