You're right!!!!Please...some impersonators are terrible! The man in the first picture he's a normal man with a black jumpsuit and a guitar...he hasn't any resemblance with Elvis so I don't know how we can consider him an impersonator...just if we want to laugh a bit..Originally posted by Boogie

Anyway...this is my personal opinion...maybe there are good impersonators aroud the world, people who love and admire Elvis and want to remember him but a jumpsuit and a guitar can't be enough...
How about Orion? He was a good impersonator although he never called himself as a Elvis Impersonator.
I saw "Rio - the voice of Elvis" last year here in Germany on stage.
He?s got a very good voice I think, but he as person is very arrogant and![]()
The show was for free, he did it about for 2 hours and I was probably the only Elvis Fan there![]()
the others were drunk

I?ve got a problem with impersonators, wearing suits one or two numbers to smalland make their thing that not fans will get a wrong picture of Elvis.
I don?t know to describe my minds... that someone will understand me![]()
I CANNOT STAND those freaks impersonators. There was some similar thread somewhere in this forum and I stated my opinion in an extended form, lol..to me there will always be only ONE Elvis and those monkeys that TRY to copy him - will never succeed. I don't mind my friends playing Elvis songs on guitars, singing, etc, but seeing people dressed up in cheap stupid supposedly "Elvis-like" suits and TRYING to copy teh manner of his voice - that's way too much![]()

does anyone have pictures of Bill Haney! Apparantly he was doing a show during Elvis' lifetime and Elvis went to see him and liked him. I heard he sounded alot like Elvis but not so much in looks. For the most part, I don't like them unless they are respectful, really good and don't focus on the negative, don't look cheap. ( Which unfortunately most do)
Got my family, my kids, my books and my music, I'm good, yeah, I'm good.....
Martin Fontaine is an impersonator who looks just like elvis but only using extreme makeup, he is actually a redhead
here he is performing http://www.youtube.com/?v=Nks21Z0taAw
What a clown. He should go to work in a circus, if he is so good at making masks.Originally Posted by Cry Baby

I'm sorry, I won't go to this thread anymore, cuz it simply pisses me off, for God's sake.
I read back in the early '70's that Elvis was flattered that people would impersonate him. If it didn't bother him; it sure doesn't bother me. I've seen a few; but Eddie Miles was the closest to Elvis in moves and sound. I saw 12 Elvis concerts.
I would like to invite all Elvis fans to my website:

I have been honored to have performed with Elvis' band in the early 80's as well as spent many a good night with Charlie Hodge reminiscing over Elvis' ventures.
There is only one king of rock and roll and that is Elvis A Presley.
