    DID ELVIS RECORD "FEELINGS" ?

Hi, everybody, I'm Denilson - 35 - fan since 5 talking from S?o Paulo, and i'd like to know if Elvis did record "Feelings" from the Brazilian composer Morris Albert, cos' on december Morris Albert (whose live in Italy nowadays) made a few gigs here in S?o Paulo and gave an interview to a local newspaper telling that after the gigs here, he would fly to New York to BMG Studios, to follow the mastering of "FEELINGS" recorded by Elvis in 1976.

ONCE FOR ALL !!! DID ELVIS RECORD OR NO FEELINGS ?????

    THANKS FOR DOUBTS DISSAPPEARING !!!!

    Feelings

    Hi Denlinson, Welcome to TCB...

I cannot verify with 100% assurance, but I have heard the rumours, like you, that Elvis, at least, rehearsed the song. I'm sorry I cannot be more definitive for you. I imagine that if Elvis did record the song, it would be a really good arrangment. We can hope that IF he did record it, that it will be made available one day!

The Paris Appeals Court convicted Albert of plagiarism in 1987, forcing him to pay half a million dollars to French composer Louis Gast? who had accused Albert of using his composition Pour Toi as the basis of Feelings. Pour Toi was written for the film Le Feu Aux Poudres and was originally recorded in 1957 by Dario Moreno. It is said that "Feelings" was the last song recorded by Elvis during a studio session (October 31-November 1, 1976), but that it was never completed. Elvis's version has never been released.

    I certainly hope they're right.

And that the tape still exists and in good condition.

And that it is in the hands of someone who will decide to share it with the world or sell it to Ernst.

I have to say it's nice to read a thread on this subject that does not include at least five posts from people who say they hope Elvis didn't record it because it was a crappy song.
...you won't forget me when I go.

I long to hear him singing that song.

Ernst J references it in his book about Elvis's recording sessions though it isn't listed in the track list. he says that Elvis was fooling with it all during a the jungle room sessions along with every Platters song ever done...

We know this but nobody of us or any biographers or whatever were there so we can put everything in a book..what do you think?

Feelings would be a nice but I would like to hear all the Platters songs he fooled around with also.

    Cool

Don't think it exists. There was hope it would be on David Briggs' private tapes but no such luck.

Either Felton didn't record it or he recorded over it. Maybe in a few years we might get a second or two if thats left on a tape on an FTD release like America on the Jungle Room Sessions.

Other than that it's gone if it ever was put on tape.

Just content yourself to the fact that it doesn't exist. Rumours are just rumours unless there is hard evidence to make them into something more tangible. They say nothing's impossible, but an Elvis version of "Feelings" must be the next closest thing. I'm told that Elvis sound-alike Orion recorded "Feelings" so that might have fueled a few rumours as well.

........and I would like to add this also to all these replies, even if or not that this song exist or any other Elvis song we have not heard yet exist is really not the question here ?
.........ask yourself this , why does RCA/BMG & EPE continue to willfully hold back all the material from the fans that they pretend to find unearthed somewhere(claims & claims everywhere even the moon ?) just so when they feel it's time for them to bleed us for another buck for some compilation of continued rehash of the same material we've heard over & over to get one song that is unreleased ??? You can continue to buy into it but I won't !!!!!
BMG/RCA & EPE !!!!! Release the material for us Fans and quit pretending !!!! ................NOW , lets talk about why we still don't have an OFFICIAL "Elvis On Tour" DVD yet RCA/BMG & EPE ?????

I'm pretty sure that Elvis recorded "Feelings" right after his duet with Elton John on "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me". The same day he sung also "Dirty Priscilla" (co-written by Michael Jackson).

Beacuse MGM don't think it is worth their while yet. EPE and BMG have no say on whether or not an Elvis On Tour Special Edition DVD will come out. Besides, if you want to see the footage have a look on Ebay and you might find the Outtakes.

They realized in 78 that the unreleased material they had was virtually next to nothing. A handful of totally unreleased songs and many concerts with a few live songs not released. They have been waiting for the special years 10th anniversary...15th....25th.... 30th etc. Knowing the increased publicity will add to the sales of anything which smacks of new. They are stretching out the inevitable which is nothing new period. We can only hope there exists more tapes like the Briggs cassette which have something new or good rehearsels of songs he was thinking of adding to his sets. I am not holding my breathe, as time goes on the chances get smaller such tapes are out there.
