    Question What are?

Your most special Elvis items you would never part with?

Mine are a brass belt buckle my dad bought for me when I was 8 yrs old which I have never worn but will shortly since my jeans now fit me since losing some weight

A mug which is probably as old as me since it was my mums before it was mine and you can tell that when you look at it :lol

An Elvis 12" picture disc christmas single my brother bought me way back.

And finally the Spanish import vinyl album "Moody Blue" my mum brought me back from spain.

Although I would not part with any of my Elvis items these are the ones I could not bear to be without

    What are yours?

    love and peace,
    Susan.

    Hi Susan,
I wouldn't want to part with any of my Elvis collection

I guess....aside from my cd's....which, lets face it are really THE most important thing....the music....and dvd's etc...the one thing would have to be my autograph from 1960. Thats probably my prized possesion Elvis wise.

A close second ? Elvis' second album....No2 ( HMV UK ) not mint....but very close

To be honoust nothing in my collection is close at heart to me. I was stupid enough to sell my first sell-bought LP and CD. Those two would now be considered precious belonging.

I have all original soundboard CD's, many audience recordings (CD) and all original BMG releases (the boxsets, original albums (you know Elvis Is Back, Promised Land, Blue Hawaii,...), FTD's and essential compilations). But everything can be replaced eventually. I don't collect firstpressings or rare releases. However, that doesn't mean that I like my collection. I LOVE my collection. But I don't treasure it as something inreplacable.

So I can part with everything in my collection. In fact, I am considering of selling my two (mintcondition) "a Profile - The King On Stage" boxsets.

Must agree that EP memorabilia is just that - things. All are ultimately replaceable.

The irreplaceable things (autographs / personal items / historical artifacts) are what mean the most to me ................... in so far as material "things" are able to. Believe it or not, even these kinds of items are .................. in the end .............. "things."

Bottom-line: too many "things" and the attachement that comes with are not always a good thing. Perspective, .............. one must always keep, lest you lose your way.

Seeing as I have spent the last three years trying my hardest to track down various imports, audience recordings, and rare bootlegs......I would have to say I could not live without that collection. I have amassed over 600 cd's in my collection (400+live recordings, 200+ studio tracks).

I have spent many a night emailing people from all over the world working out trades and what not to improve my collection. I have also had many days that I've suffered headaches from all the *****'s who ripped me off and failed to come through with their trades and promises.

Can I replace my collection? Maybe. Would i want to do it all over again. Never. I take great pride in my collection, and have spent many more hours organizing a Excel spreadsheet database of all my cd's. I love it.

I wouldn't part of anything I own of Elvis. Not my Elvisclock, my Elvislamp, posters, pic's, audio etc.

    Be safe and take care,
