He comes across as a good guy, modest, quiet, very different than the rest of the inner circle of EP.
He is almost boring... being so nice and all.
i think jerry was the only one NOT to sell elvis out, i mean i think he and elvis were such good friends until the end, what do you guys think?

I think I would rather have Jerry almost boring than some of the 'Drama Queens' in that inner circle who have to resort to sensationalistic and fabricated statements about certain events and facts surrounding EP.
Jerry was a good friend to Elvis, one of the best and his loyalty to his memory is very much acclaimed. I can't remember whether Jerry left the 'Memphis Mafia' during the last year of Elvis' life to undertake other business ventures...can anybody throw any light on this?
Cheers,
NEA.

"If you do, you'll have two very short friends!"![]()
Jerry did leave the Memphis Mafia in the latter 70's to pursue other business ventures, which included working with the Beach Boys. Jerry was, and still is very close with Priscilla. Some say a little too close for Elvis' liking. The best Shilling story I can remember is the house Elvis bought him in 1974. Jerry lost his parents when he was a small child. Elvis presented him with the house and told Jerry, he knew Jerry never had a home and he (Elvis) wanted to be the one to give him one. Now that I think about it, thats more of a great Elvis story![]()
If your an Elvis fan, no explanation is necessary....
If your not, no explanation is possible!
He does seem a nice guy but I think Elvis was proven right about his suspicions but I`ll say no more. hes basically someone who priscilla can always call on to defend her lets face it he was the only one on elvis by the presleys dvd and if she wants him to kiss her *** then he`ll do it. I always liked him but he was involved in the elvis and me dvd which portrayed elvis badly and so he didn`t prove to be very loyal in the end did he. If priscilla told him the sky was purple he`d believe it.
'No matter what you say, I lost my best friend. No day goes by I don't think of him'. Those words day enough for me. Jerry and Priscilla were close from the moment they met. Elvis didn't liked if Cilla talked with some TMM members. He was there for Cilla, not them. After Elvis' death they came so close as friends. They coudn't been so close before 'cause of Elvis. They sayed 'hi' or how is it and that was it. And Jerry was involved with Elvis and me. But the script that Jerry got was almost the same as Cilla's book. But they changed a lot after that. They made Elvis look like a bad person. Jerry had his signature planted behind this project..So he must did it..But he wasn't happy doing it..The same story is for Charlie Hodge and Larry Geller in the movie "Elvis" starring Kurt Russell. They already had there signatures written. But they changed so much in the script. That afterwards it looks like they were in the movie to make money..But my opinion is that Jerry is a very good person. We weren't there so we cannot be 100% right.
Jerry was a little more independent than most of them, and I think Elvis both liked and disliked that he was. He has never said a bad thing about Elvis that I have ever heard or read.

Jerry seems to be a very nice person. I guess he was one of the few real friends Elvis had and he was someone who didn't make his living on being Elvis' "friend". He had several jobs and made his own money. And therefore he could be more honest with Elvis than most of the other guys. I have read that he simply quit in 1976, because he was tired of Elvis behaviour. Who else from the Memphis Mafia could afford to do that? And whom of them was really interested in doing so? Sometimes it sounds like only Jerry and Red where really honest with Elvis.
