Pauline has passed and she was a friend of Priscilla's.You can choose not to believe it but if you knew Pauline you would know she was not a liar. She really did love Elvis and Elvis always called her his brown mama. For anyone to call her a liar and base that on absoultely no facts is *****ic.Meg,can you give me any examples of lies Pauline has told?If im wrong I will admit it.I just would like to know what you base your opinion on.Did you know Pauline?

Im guessing by the response you have never spoken with Pauline which is what I figured.
Pauline and her husband both worked at Graceland for many years including after Elvis died. Both very nice people.

If anyone in here reads a lot about Elvis there was book done by Dick Grob(Spelling?) I started reading this and never put it down until very end. It talked about that night Aug. 16th and days after. I never forget on one whole page it said something like this. (Its not word for word) "The Elvis Conspires" I'm sorry but by spelling is not that great.
"Ginger came downstairs, with make-up and all...So made me think."
And it goes on saying how she found him at I think 2AM, still swollow breathing but still alive. Went back to by the bed and called some gossip paper and said "There will be big news at graceland."
Well it goes on few pages. Come find out Ginger knew she was gone after elvis left for new tour in August '77. And this paper offered $300,000.00 for any big story about Elvis. That's how they knew before anyone else Elvis was dead.
I know from going Portage competeing in Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. I met Sam Thompson, Joe, and few other members and stage members. None of them when I ask what you think of Ginger. They say most of the time "no comment."
To me all she was gold digger and what goes around comes around I say.
I forgot to say this too.
I love Priscilla and her keeping Elvis's name a live. But, out of all the women elvis loved. My favorite has be Linda. She really and truely loved Elvis. She even had him kick his bad habits. I believe if her and Elvis where thoughter in '77 we would not have lost him then. I don't know much longer we would have had him after '77 because his health was not that great. But he might have lived other 10+ years.
Grob based his whole book on Ginger calling the National Enquirer. Well, she didn't. Back then it was impossible to trace which phone in Graceland made the call, and it later transpired from records that the call was made from a payphone.
A journalist in the Enquirer who took the call a few years back confirmed it was a male voice, however he did not and would not say who made the call.
Grob's book is about as credible as his time as a War Pilot....which didn't happen either, even though he told Elvis he was.
The Sun Never Sets On A Legend...
well dudcowboy i know ginger and she has had a lot of lies made up and written about her for the past 35 years ...for starters dick grob is a conpulsive liar ..and the guys just did not want ginger with elvis because there lovely little comfy life might change !!!
I agree also on Ann Margaret for being the best for Elvis. I think the colonel might have put a stop to that relationship.
Their lifestyle had nothing to do with it. I tire of people blaming everything on this idea. Many felt Ginger caused Elvis more stress, and he wasn't well in the first place. She was too young and wanted to do her own thing, didn't want to always be a Graceland, go on tour. They knew, as did Elvis maybe in the back of his mind that he prob. was too old to "train" another women. I don't say this to sound mean but any women with Elvis had to devote her life to him. Part of it just was his lifestyle that he thought required it, he was a very, very high maintanence guy. Of course Ginger loved him,,as did many women when the first met him. He was charming, charismatic, and adorable. But as with all the others, reality sets in. I don't think that was in full mode just yet with either Ginger or Elvis. And many people do think that marriage will fix things.
I do think there was a time when both Priscilla and Elvis thought that they might want to go back to each other. They had an emotional bond,,and at one time a large part of it, while not healthy, was based on emotional dependancy. But it never happened because both knew they had outgrown each other. And I think their relationship was very much a love/hate type of relationship.
Just because Ginger had make up on means nothing. I go to bed with mine on and although it might look bad, about 30 seconds, makes it not look bad,,,what do men know about make up anyway. Not like they are a great source.
A man took a picture of Elvis,,there were those willing to betray,,why blame Ginger on the Enquirer thing. Maybe it was the same person as the picture taker?? If Elvis died,,that news would travel like wildfire in the group.
Some of this is just logic and common sense.
I do believe that Priscilla had more than one motive to taking someone else's fiance'. Love, adulation, money, fame. Of course she loved Elvis, who wouldn't. But I do think her parents pushed her, but they could not with out her having desire of her own. The proof is that she is rich, famous, and is alway trying to get attention. She too found the price of that too high when with Elvis and that she did not need him to find that. She after all held the Ace. (Lisa)
Now the MM, at least had jobs and had to be there for him 24/7, and several stuck it out longer than any women did. I thank God Elvis had friends and people to watch over him, offer him fun and friendship. If they got some perks out of it,,so be it. Could he have picked better,,,perhaps,,,but it was his life.
great post Laurie T........
