I think Elvis would have done a wonderful work as a "dramatic" actor. He showed his skills in movies like King Creole (1958), Flaming Star (1960) and Charro! (1969). So I believe the "king" could have been also a very important actor, besides a marvelous singer.
Fans almost asked for movies following "the formula" because they went to see them. Do you know what I mean? It they had stop of watching these kind of films, maybe the situation would have been other.
Anyway, no-Elvis' movie was bad to me. I love them all! Our man looks so great! Although sometimes you can perceive (on his face) he was not completely happy with his acting career.
"The Trouble With Girls" was the movie Elvis didn't like the most. He openly said that. But I saw it and is not "terrible"...
Elvis had the chance to became the actor he wanted to be. I guess C. Parker sent that posibility far, far away.
Elvis deservesas singer and actor.
