Elvis Treasures by Robert Gordon

Good Evening!

I found the book Elvis Treasures by Robert Gordon by chance while shopping on Amazon. It took a while--I had to place a MarketPlace order, but it's an awesome book! I didn't really know what to expect, and the description didn't say much. I'm really glad I got it--it's scrapbook-style, with reproductions of letters and pictures to pull out of pockets--which makes it a lot of fun, since I also have a pretty cool collection of pop up books. I don't know why I hadn't heard of this book before. Does anyone else have it?? What do you think?

I have this one, I really liked it! It sits on my coffee table, along with the tour book from Graceland and another Elvis photo book that my son bought me. I enjoyed the interactive style of the book.

I was given this book for Christmas. I really liked it- it's quite fun as you get to open things as you go along, it's got some great pictures and information, and it comes with a cd of Elvis interviews.
However there is one really annoying thing about this book- in fact this point features in many Elvis merchandise- and that is the way that Elvis' life convenientally ends after Aloha from Hawaii. In fact, there are only 2 paragraphs that are about Elvis' life after 73 and those are about how he searched for the meaning of his life and how the excitement had disappeared.
Does anyone else find this really annoying? In my opinion, these forgotten years are just as important as any and should not be ignored just because people don't want to face up to facts. Elvis was handsome, made many wonderful concerts and was alive in these years and they deserve recognition. It's unfair to the memory of Elvis to eradicate parts of his life and it is also pointless. By choosing to pretend that these years didn't exist in order to avoid a "problem", they are instead amplifying that "problem".
Anyway, sorry got a bit carried away, . this book is really good and is probably the most beautiful book of Elvis I've ever seen. I really do recommend it.

I have this book since last year. It wasn`t a good seller here in Canada so, the book store put them ``on sale`` for half-price (it was to expensive, I think) and then the book was ``sold out`` in 2 weeks in some book stores. Here at the club we purchase 15 copies and we sell it in our last convention. It`s a well done piece and very attractive book and different too. Did you know that they also did this kind of book with other artists? I saw one exactly the same way on Celine Dion and Britney Spears (all made from the same company)
