    TOMMY:
You can also try going over to Amazon.com and doing a search for the CLOSE UP box set. When you get the results of the search, check the "Used and New" box on the right hand side of the page...there may be some third-party sellers who have the box set available for a reduced price, and you can read the descriptions the sellers list on the sets they have for sale to find one in the shape that you want the set in. (Sealed, slightly used, etc.) You buy things from the third-party sellers through Amazon, like you normally make a transaction. I've bought many things through third-party sellers at Amazon and it works GREAT!! Just another suggestion for you...

    MENWITHBROKENHEARTS:
Glad to hear you're getting the ELVIS ON TOUR: THE REHEARSALS FTD CD!! You're going to LOVE it!!!

As far as we know boogie, RCA did NOT record the first and last MSG shows!

But Ernst and his team are always uncovering new things, so maybe we'll get lucky and they will find some tapes of those MSG shows!!

    Hi Mike,

Yes that would be nice if they did have the MSG shows.

    Thank you,

    Tommy

I just received the "On Tour the Rehearsals " cd and I love it. The stripped down sound and Elvis' relaxed style of singing is a true pleasure to hear. Not to mention that cool bluesy intro to Hound Dog! All of it is great! It probably won't be leaving my cd player for a while.
Got my family, my kids, my books and my music, I'm good, yeah, I'm good.....

On tour was brilliant, though I've only seen snippets of the rehearsals.

    Hello menwithbrokenhearts,

So glad to hear you are loving this CD. When I got my copy last week I was loving it too!! Do you have ElVIS An Afternoon In The Garden, it's another really great one! Yes, I was surprised and loved the bluesy Hound Dog!

    Thank you for replying,

THanks. I do have "Afternoon in the Garden". I bought that one sometime ago but I remember loving it and listening to it repeatedly over a period of time. I'll have to go back and give it a more critical listen to and tell you what I think.
Too bad those shows aren't on a dvd somewhere. He looked in fine form then, albeit a bit nervous. Three sold out shows, am I right about that?

    Hi menwithbrokenhearts,

Yes, it was 3 or 4 shows sold out. But I'm no expert on that one. You are probably right. Yes, I wish there were more DVD's of Elvis to watch. I don't know why they didn't do more professional filming and also more publicity photos of him in jumpsuits. Nice to see you around.

    Thanks for replying,

    Tommy
