    Marin Scorcese and Elvis

    Hi,

I know that Martin Scorcese is a big rock fan and in particular his long time admiration for Dylan; ie: "The last waltz" wiht the Band and today "No direction Home" about Bob.

You know he worked on the "On tour" editing but the choices he made werent the ones chosen in the final cut. Nowadays he totally disavows the result.

My question is: what does Scorcese thinks about EP?

I 've seen some of the films about the blues he produced and he directed one of them. There was little mention about Elvis in the segment dedicated to Memphis and not in a vey favourable light for E: a chat at Sun studios between Sam Phillips and Ike Turner, Turner accusing Elvis being a rip-off artist that stole the black man's music.

    What do you think?!

    Cool

I don't know what he thinks about Elvis; but I do know that regardless he is an excellent director and personally I hope that one day he may re-edit Elvis On Tour for MGM similar to what was done with TTWIISE.
