It truly does. I can't get over how good that is, actually. In its released form, the song just never seemed to me to have the right feel to it. For that reason I used to prefer the Aloha version, among others. But now hearing it without all the add-ons, I am sold on the original recording.

Why isn't it possible for me to now link to my own server with more unreleased songs etc? Is this something to do with the new board layout?

Thanks guys, I can now link to my server again.

This is another Treasure from my private collection that has never been released before in any form. It's the undubbed Master of "Love Song Of The Year"

How many of you wondered why "I'm A Roustabout" sounded so bad on "Second To None" ? The answer is it shouldn't have sounded so bad !!! Here's the original acetate recording of "I'm A Roustabout" and I'm sure you'll agree that with a little more care BMG could have made it sound much better on that release. Just compare it yourselves.

    Thumbs up

Man, that does sound incredible, Keith! I just assumed that the way it sounded on E2 was as good as it gets, and that we should have been thankful for it to have sounded that good.

That Love Song Of The Year also sounded great. Thanks so much for sharing your treasures with us, Keith.

    Talking

    Hey Keith,
I have it on a CD, but there may be some of our posters who haven't heard the 'laughing version' of Are You Lonesome Tonight. Do you have it?. That one, along with the takes of Down in The Alley are Elvis' laugh at its best.
I really enjoyed I'm a Roustabout, thank you......
