Hi Guys,
I've just seen a great b/w pic or our man on stage in Jacksonville, Florida from April 16th, 1972. And, it appears that Elvis' Electric 'Gretsch' Country Gentleman is standing by on stage just next to Charlie.
I've also heard a story/rumour from quite an unreliable source that the 'Gretsch' took it's place on stage throughout 1973 and that Elvis played this during a live version of 'Raised On Rock'??!!
Any news on this one guys, or is it as absurd as Elvis killing somebody in a car-crash in the mid-50's and the Colonel not letting him forget it?!
Also, does anybody know if the 'Gretsch' guitar took it's place at any more shows from 1973 onwards...maybe you've got a pic or two to share...or maybe you were in the audience at the very show or shows that the Gretsch made an appearance in the background?
Let us hear guys...
Cheers,
NEA.
