    Elvis Country!

This request is for a new version of "Elvis Country". Don't know if it's been done already, but would love to see it. I think it'd be cool to have the original master recordings along with other songs from that session that didn't make the original album.

Or you could make an album featuring country songs from the later 70's... he was recording a lot of country-style music then, seeing as how country radio stations were the ones mainly playing his stuff. What do you think????

Here's the track list of the original "Elvis Country" album.
    1. Snowbird
    2. Tomorrow Never Comes
    3. Little Cabin On The Hill
    4. Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On
    5. Funny How Time Slips Away
    6. I Really Don't Want To Know
    7. There Goes My Everything
    8. It's Your Baby, You Rock It
    9. The Fool
    10. Faded Love
    11. Washed My Hands In Muddy Water
    12. Make The World Go Away
Now, in my humble opinion, I think the following would make a great tracklist on a new version of "Elvis Country" using the "country" songs from the same session in June of 1970.
    1. Little Cabin On The Hill
    2. It Ain't No Big Thing (But It's Growing)
    3. Just Pretend
    4. Funny How Time Slips Away
    5. A Hundred Years From Now
    6. The Fool
    7. Make The World Go Away
    8. Washed My Hands In Muddy Water
    9. If I Were You
    10. It's Your Baby, You Rock It
    11. Mary In The Morning
    12. Snowbird
    13. Faded Love
    14. Tomorrow Never Comes
    15. I Really Don't Want To Know
    16. I Didn't Make It On Playing Guitar

Here is yet another list of songs for an "Elvis Country" project that features his country songs from the later 70's. This could be a Volume 2, The Backroads ...
    1. Talk About The Good Times
    2. Take Good Care Of Her
    3. Help Me Make It Through The Night
    4. You Asked Me Too
    5. Girl Of Mine
    6. For The Good Times
    7. There's A Honky Tonk Angel (Who Will Take Me Back In)
    8. Danny Boy
    9. Susan When She Tried
    10. Fairytale
    11. Green, Green Grass Of Home
    12. She Wears My Ring
    13. He'll Have To Go
    14. Don't Think Twice, It's All Right
    15. She Thinks I Still Care
    16. I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry (From The Album "Aloha From Hawaii")
All of these selections were recorded or composed by country artists. The majority of them are now considered country classics.

Nice concept for a country album! but i always find that the use of a picture with horse or something..is to easy to make a country cover...there is nothing wrong with the original cover for Elvis' country album..so maybe adjust that cover with your tracklist?

    Hi nabelt24,

Wow I love the first tracklist "Elvis Country" it's really great I love There Goes My Everything. But I have to tell ya the second volume tracklist "Backroads" blows me away! Really love all the songs on the "Backroads" all in a row.

And the photo's are the best, Elvis on his favorite horses always makes for a great album cover.

Thank you for sharing these. I hope you make these CD's. Think I'll make the "Backroads" tracklist for me.

I understand what you mean. I wasn't thinking of just the horses, though. I was looking at the land behind him and the cowboy hat. Of course, that's kind of a stereotype, isn't it!?! And I'm from Texas! Shame on me!!!

I like the picture with the red scarf at the bottom. That would be different! Or, like you said, use a picture similar to the original cover of him as a boy.
