Scotty still does some touring. Also, every now and then, he and DJ Fontana play with Ronnie McDowell. Ronnie actually arranged for Scotty and DJ to be presented with new cars, since Elvis actually never gave them cars.

i read somewhere that scotty moore didn't see elvis ever again after the 68 special? is that true? if so why?
I believe so, and read the book!
Just kidding. Scotty wanted to and tried to get to Elvis after the special to work on some things they had discussed at that time, but I don't think his messages or calls ever got past the guys...if I recall correctly.
