I dream a world where man no other man
will scorn. Where LOVE will bless the earth
and peace its paths adorn...
Prayers and help for those who lost loved ones and who have to face having to build their lives all over again.
One week ago I was in Mississipi to visit after two weeks of stay in Memphis.
We think of you and send you all our love from France.

If I can help, please tell me how...
Everybody is thinking of you in Germany
What a terrible thing, in so many ways. There's a long road ahead too--not simply for the rebuilding of the area, but for the continued health of the survivors.
Then there are the survivors down there who are running around shooting people and committing other despicable acts. I'll just say I feel less than sorry for them.
...you won't forget me when I go.
It's very sad what happened, all those people who died, people who lost their houses, everything. We visited New Orleans two years ago and we found it a very beautiful city and we find it very hard to watch it on the news and not being able to help.
without a song, a man ain't got a friend,
without a song, the road would never bend,
without a song, so I'll keep singing the song.

I haven't been here long enough to know if off-site links or pastings of off-site news is acceptable, so I won't...but I just read an Associated Press story on Yahoo News stating that Fats Domino is among the missing in New Orleans. Fats apparently wanted to ride out the hurricane and his manager couldn't convince him to leave. Since then, no one has been able to get in touch with him and his home is in a flooded section.
Fats is, of course, known for "Ain't That A Shame," "Blueberry Hill," and many others and was credited by Elvis as being an "inspiration."
My thoughts and prayers are with all of the victims and their familes.
It's shocking to see on the news what's happening in New Orleans..... It seems so unreal. I have a simular feeling as watching the attack on the twintowers...
Horrible..... My thoughts are with all the victims of this horrible event....
By the way.... On the news they said that Fats Domino is missing since this monday. His house is in the neighbourhood where all houses are completely under water... "Knowing" someone that might be a casualty of the hurricane makes it so much more intense and "close to home".

Yes, they had to rescue Fats from his home. Thank you all for your kindness during this time. It's awful to watch on the TV. So sad.

Because I was feeling a little disgusted when I made my earlier post, I neglected to say that it truly is heartwarming to me to read all these well-wishes from people all around the world for the Americans affected by this crisis.
