How Many Songs...

How many songs {approx} are in Elvis CONCERT repertoire??? I think that it's immpossible to count them, because many concerts haven't playlists...

I think that his live repertoire could be between 150 - 200 songs... What do you think?

I think this is probably, as you pointed out, almost IMPOSSIBLE to answer definitively!! Although new information about Elvis' concerts seems to come out all the time, since we simply don't have a setlist for every single show Elvis ever gave, this would be a difficult question to answer conclusively!

Plus....with all the one liner's he sang...oh my gosh....this could take forever!!! :bash:

I read where he rehearsed some 200 songs for his 69 opening in Vegas!

I can't even give an educated guess on this one...mainly cuz I ain't educated.

I've actually wondered about that myself and, considering how there are at least a couple very comprehensive websites which give the setlists of a vast majority of Elvis's concerts during the '69 - '77 period, it's surprising to me that no one has ever broken that info down in that manner.

In addition to the total number of songs he sung, it would be very interesting to see a number next to each song indicating how many times it was known to have been performed, and then from that maybe a top 50 list...or even the whole list in descending order, all the way down to the 'Goodtime Charlie's Got The Blueses' . It would also be neat to see such stats given by year, tour, etc. Another cool way to break it down would be to have a chart with songs listed down the left side and all the tours and engagements listed across the top. Then the corresponding boxes could be checked (or perhaps a number given) to indicate whether (or how many times) that song was performed then.

There would be lots of neat ways of looking at that information, I think.

In Skar's book "The Concert Years" the setlists of every tour and season that Elvis ever did. Perhaps I'll list them and delete the duplicate entrees :
