you should go for the FTD releases: One night in vegas, At the international
For BMG: live in las vegas (4 cd set), Aloha from hawaii, memories.
Than you have (audio wise) the best live albums
If you go for soundboards: try the fort baxter stuff.
I have never really owned any of the live albums, I'm not sure why. But I recently bought On Stage and really enjoyed it. Now I'm wondering what you all think is the best live album, FTD or otherwise, so I can get another good one. Thanks in advance!
Before Elvis, there was nothing....
I love the FTD upgrade of "Live On Stage In Memphis" 1974...I think that remastered sound is something else!
Cheers,
NEA.

About the ones that were released back in Elvis TImes...
If you liked "On Stage" that much, (my second Favourite by the way), then you should go for: "Elvis in Person". 1969 (My favourite one.)
A must have is "Live at the Madison Square Garden" 1972. (My third favourite) is such a great album, it?s a seventies classic rock album. You must have it.
I don?t think Aloha is that good compared to the Madison Square Garden concert, I Rather Go for the "Live On Stage in Memphis" 1974 as a Fourth choice concerning Elvis live albums released in his time. I put Aloha as a Fifth option.
"ELvis In COncert" 1977, if you forrget about how Elvis looked and just about how it sounded, i think this album contains some very good performances. But still your last choice if you want to start getting ELvis live albums.
About live albums released after Elvis passing.
"Tiger Man" this is the complete 8:00pm sit down concert filmed for the 68?NBC Special. A Classic event, a must have in every Elvis CD collection. (My First choice as albums released posthumosly or whatever it is said)
"Thats The Way It Is" SPECIAL EDITION. Don?t get the regular album, is a good one but just four live songs thats all, it is actually a studio album. The Special edition contains this album plus a complete concert from August 1970, and it is a great concert, you should have this one, (my second Choice)
Once there was this 3Cd box set called "Collectors GOld" two of them are studio alternate takes, and those are prety cool. But the third one is a live conert from 69?actually songs from diferent concerts of that time but it sounds as one conert anyway haha... this boxset is dificult to find nowdays, it was released in the early 90?s I was 14 or something and I love it. Still, here is where you get an absolutely great blues live jam of "Reconsider Baby", just for this live take I will get this Cd Set (only if you like the blues side onf elvis of course) is is much better than the live cut of the same song in 72' in the "AN afternoon In the Garden" live album. Also in this collectors gold release you will get the best live take of Elvis version of "WHat I?d Say". 7 minutes or so long.
About FTD releases I don?t know, Im a student on a loan so cant afort them now so... I will go for them in a few years I hope.
