Has BMG or any others Ever had to use bootlegged material for releases?

I was thinking about this the other day reading news about the beatles Let It Be dvd and the fact they had to go after bootleggers to get a lot of the material back......and I remember reading somewhere BMG has bought tapes in the past from tapers?

BMG was so wise to bring us the FTD label, created for us fans and to stop the bootleg releases. Since this label started the output of bootleg material is reduced to almost none. And if thereis a bootleg out than it's most of the time a re-release of some their best selling releases, or a terrible audience recording.
